Gregory is a Senior Deputy Probation Officer in Sacramento County as well as the President of the Sacramento County Probation Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, Northern California Probation Lodge 19 and the Legislative Vice-President of the State Coalition of Probation Organizations. He knows it is equally as vital to protect officers mental wellbeing, both on and off duty, as it is to protect officers physical wellbeing. This understanding is now being embraced in Law Enforcement and Gregory knows that through the work of the Randy Yamada Foundation this message will continue to reach officers throughout California. Gregory was also instrumental in the development of the Sacramento County Probation Departments Peer Support Program and it’s collaboration with the Sacramento Law Enforcement Chaplaincy which provides assistance to probation officers and their families during their time of need.

Jordan Richards

Jordan Richards is the President of the San Joaquin County Probation Officers Association. He currently is a Senior Officer with his department. Jordan and his organization have been partners with the Randy Yamada Foundation since 2015. Jordan’s number one goal for his officers, and staff is to return home safely to their loved ones each day. Through training and mentoring of staff, Jordan tries to provide the “brotherhood” concept, that we never leave a brother or sister behind and we support them in their time of need both mentally and physically. Jordan also serves as the President of the State Coalition of Probation Organizations. Through this opportunity Jordan and his board continue to fight for peace officer rights specifically for the rank and file probation peace officers at the Capitol. “We are all one family, brothers and sisters in a constant battle with those who challenge authority, cause harm, and create hostility. We walk that line to hold those accountable, and protect others from harm and chaos.”
